Aquatic Life and Watershed Education

Nature Unhooked is the DNS (Discover Nature Schools) curriculum for secondary school educators. This hands-on, inquiry based teacher workshop will be an engaging foundation for the DNS lessons. The materials are aligned to the Missouri Learning Standards; the student books and science notebooks are at no charge for Missouri teachers. We will discover the local aquatic life and their importance to people and natural communities.Field trip opportunities and possible funding will be discussed.

Confirmation will follow registration, the teacher course will be held at Walter Woods Conservation Area 10 minutes south of Joplin.
