Be prepared for a little bit of everything when you visit Victoria Glades. You'll encounter yawning, open glade vistas, oak-hickory forest, intermittent streams and an incredible sunrise view. The two-three-mile trail has plenty of ups and downs to keep things interesting. During spring and summer, the glades are decorated with all manner colorful flowers. One of the larger open, glade stretches has a commanding view eastward, which is especially amazing at sunrise. Victoria, along with Valley View Glades, is part of a much larger complex of glades that extends eastward and beyond Hillsboro and Desoto, to Festus, then south into Ste. Genevieve County. Be sure to plan time to take in nearby Valley View Glades too.
