Phantom Forest CA

Phantom Forest CA
Missouri Department of Conservation

It's spooky name for an enjoyable dose of nature. Phantom Forest Conservation Area was donated to the Missouri Department of Conservation in 1994 by Ray and Claire Moore. The area gets its name because Ray Moore was the illustrator of the Phantom comic.
Phantom Forest adjoins Goodson (Bittersweet Woods) Conservation Area via a connector trail at the northeast corner of the property. Both areas are nestled amid subdivision homes and combined provide a pleasant forested hiking trail. Once immersed on this area, you may find it hard to believe that civilization is merely a stone throw away.
