Bennett Spring is one of Missouri’s most scenic state parks, and it offers some of the state’s best trout fishing. Every year roughly 800,000 people visit, with as many as 180,000 anglers coming to test their skills. The hatchery stocks up to 420,000 rainbow trout into the Bennett Spring branch annually.
The state park complex includes cabins, contact station, dining lodge, hiking trails, motel, nature center, picnic area, playground, park office, picnic shelter, restrooms, store, swimming pool, trout hatchery, trailer disposal station, and campgrounds
Tours are offered from March to October on the first and third Saturdays of the month at 10:00 am, or by request. Call the hatchery office at the number listed under Address Information to the right.
To be sure of fishing regulations, report a fishing violation, attend a hatchery tour, or feed the fish, visit the Missouri Department of Conservation trout hatchery. The hatchery is located in the north end of the park next to the spring.
If you need to purchase a fishing permit, daily tag, trout permit, purchase fishing equipment, camping supplies, groceries or get tips on what lure is working best, go to the park store or call 417-532-4307.
